Hi, my dears,
After everything you’ve done — the long days, the hard work, the constant worrying — you deserve a little bit of joy.
What kind of happiness fills your heart?
As a single mom, there are so many ways to find contentment in the little moments and cherish the day. Let me share a few ideas with you, and feel free to send me yours by email!
💫1. Accept your situation and be grateful for everything you already have, especially good health for you and your kids. That alone is a huge blessing.
Each day, you get to choose what to do, instead of rushing to hospitals or scrambling to figure out how to pay medical bills. You have the chance to be closer to your children, to really know what their struggles are.
I know it can be exhausting sometimes, but you’re still showing up — and that means everything.
Just take it step by step. Everything will be okay.
🌿 2. Go out by yourself to the center of your town.
Sit somewhere — maybe have a coffee — and observe the people walking by. Everyone seems to be rushing somewhere, doing something “very important.”
But what is so important?
Ask yourself: What matters to me?
Do I want to live my life constantly rushing after things that, in a week — or even less — might not matter at all? Is it your health? Your job? The environment you live in? Having (or not having) close friends?
Is it your free time, love, inner peace, or maybe making more money, your hobby, or your pet?
What matters most — and are you living in a way that honors that? And then, write it down and focus on it. When you stay true to what matters to you, you’ll naturally move closer to your happiness.
🔥 3. Do the thing that scares you the most.
Sometimes, the biggest joy comes from stepping outside your comfort zone.
You see the changes around you, and naturally, you’re changing too — but don’t let it be only in years, like just looking older. Do something that makes you feel stronger. Say no to a meeting you don’t want to attend.
Say yes and finally go to the gym — or whatever it is you’ve been wishing you could do, but always put off because you’re “too busy.” Don’t do that.
This time, choose you. Growth lives on the other side of fear.
💖 I know some of these ideas might not be what you usually think of when it comes to feeling good, but there’s real value in them.
If you don’t take time to reflect on what you truly want (and don’t want), how will you ever create a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling?
So give yourself permission to slow down, check in, and find what truly lights you up.
Let go of the pressure to meet everyone’s expectations. Find what makes you happy — and don’t be afraid to live it. I am wishing you all the strength you need to do it for yourself.
Until my next post, be safe and happy <3
